“We’ve seen the popularity of the Michelin Advantage Program increase significantly as more and more people are realizing that you don’t have to be a big fleet to get an advantage or have a relationship with Michelin,” says Fritz Mueller, small fleet business segment manager.
“For example,” he continues, “in January 2011, Michelin doubled the number of customers who signed up for this program compared to the same month last year. Now, more trucking professionals that operate their own business will have additional opportunities to control their costs, save time and improve their safety.”
The program provides consistent pricing on both new tires and Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) tires.
Purchases can be made with a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card.
Members also have access to Michelin ONCall emergency road service with no dispatch fee. In addition, they receive access to the company’s Commercial Service Network, which provides service from Network dealers with highly trained technicians, professional equipment and casing management. Rigorous certification and audit standards are in place, Mueller says.
The Advantage Program also supplies members with varied resources on its website, which provides training information and maintenance tips and techniques.
Along with regular e-newsletter updates on news, product updates and promotions, new this year are quarterly webcasts on topics such as CSA 2010, tire casing analysis and others, which members can view and also download to help them maintain safe truck operations, according to Mueller. For more information, visit www.michelintruck.com.
