Accuride Corp. is debuting its Accu-Lite lightweight aluminum wheel line at the Mid- America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky. The event runs through April 2.

“We are very pleased to introduce four aluminum wheels to our existing family of Accu-Lite steel wheels, which continue to be the benchmark for industry-standard steel wheels,” says Rick Schomer, senior vice president of marketing and sales.

“For more than 100 years, Accuride Wheels has been the trusted brand in product technology, delivery and support. It is the introduction of new wheels such as the Accu-Lite aluminum line that allows us to maintain this reputation,” he notes.

“Whether you are looking to save additional weight or turn some heads, Accuride’s Accu-Lite aluminum wheels offer exactly what you're looking for – they are the lightest and brightest in the industry,” Schomer observes.

“We’ve actually reduced the weight of our aluminum Duplex wheel by 12 pounds and, with our new Ultra-Enhanced Finish, the wheel’s gloss is measurably superior to competitor wheels,” he asserts.

The 22.5 x 8.25 aluminum Accu-Lite wheel weighs 45 pounds, while the super single Accu-Lite aluminum Duplex weighs 59 pounds.

The new wheels are the centerpiece of Accuride’s booth at the trucking show. The display also has products from the company’s other divisions, including Gunite, Imperial, Fabco, Brillion, and Highway Original.
