General Tire's Miss Mint 400 pageant is back and in high gear for its third consecutive year.

Women from across the country are already competing for the crown; Miss Mint gains a prestigious title, a prize package, national exposure and a General Tire photo shoot.

It runs through March 15. To participate, entrants must upload two photos of themselves to the company’s website; one head shot and one full-body shot are to be submitted.

The top 10 women with the highest scores by March 15 will make it to the second round of competition. From there, three will move on to the final round.

Each of the finalists will attend the Miss Mint 400 crowning ceremony on March 24, which culminates with the victor being chosen that evening. The winner gets three nights of hotel accommodations in Las Vegas and $1,500. She will also have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to model in a General Tire photo shoot, according to Dana Zamalloa, the company’s marketing, public relations and communications manager.

“Last year we had a record-high number of votes, and I am anticipating that the competition will be even hotter for 2011,” Zamalloa says, noting that “the Miss Mint 400 contest has definitely added excitement around the SNORE General Tire Mint 400 race.”

The contest is open to women age 21 and older who are legal residents of the 50 states and the District of Columbia (Void in New York, Florida, Rhode Island, and U.S. territories and possessions, including Puerto Rico, and where prohibited.)
