An intense neck-and-neck battle for first place between two Team General Tire drivers, Carl Renezeder and Robby Woods, ensued during rounds 13 and 14 of the recent Lucas Oil Off- Road Racing Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Woods and Renezeder led the pack for the entirety of the Round 13 Pro 2 Unlimited event on Saturday. After several turns, Renezeder pushed hard to take first position from Woods in turn eight and held the lead till the race’s end, taking home first place with Woods in second.

It was Woods’ first podium finish of 2010. The competition continued at Saturday’s Pro 4 race, where Renezeder took second place in the final lap.

On Sunday, Renezeder and Woods kept on with their attack on the field, taking second and third respectively in Pro 2. Renezeder was leading, but was forced to pull out during the final lap because of issues with his truck.

In the Round 14 Superlite race, General’s Jeff “Ox” Kargola battled his way from the back to be third from the lead, but he was hit by another driver during the last lap and landed sideways in a dead-stop. Suffering an injured right leg, Kargola was taken from the track by an ambulance.
