Bridgestone has been declared a “Volvo Premium Supplier” by the automaker.

Now in its fifth year, the annual awards salute OEM component providers that deliver the best rigorously measured rankings regarding quality, safety, environmental performance, cost, logistics and corporate responsibility. Close attention is also paid to the supplier’s capacity to work with Volvo’s teams “in the spirit of continuous improvement.”

“This is a great honor for Bridgestone, especially as we are the first tire supplier ever to be recognized by the Volvo Premium Supplier Award Program,” says Takashi Tomioka, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Bridgestone looks forward to maintaining its high level of quality service and its status as one of the Volvo Group’s long-term strategic partners.”
