Pirelli has partnered with Grassroots Motorsports magazine to host the Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge starting July 23 at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
“Promoting growth in the grassroots and tuner sector of motorsports is very important to Pirelli, reports Rafael Navarro III, director of motorsports and media relations. “Programs such as the Ultimate Track Car Challenge augment Pirelli’s role in global motorsport, showcasing the best of the best at the grassroots and tuner levels here in North America,” he adds.
“Through this event, and thanks to the assistance of Grassroots Motorsports magazine, we can further establish links to an even greater number of high performance automotive enthusiasts,” Navarro says. “Pirelli has a wide range of specialty high performance, ultra-high performance and motorsport tires available to every racer and team.”
“The Pirelli Ultimate Track Car Challenge that Grassroots Motorsports magazine hosts is the ultimate contest of sports and racing cars in America,” says publisher Tim Suddard. “These cars range from cool low-buck, track cars that regular guys have built in their garages to professionally built race cars from the likes of Riley and Roush. These Ultimate cars need ultimate track tires, and Pirelli is the perfect partner for us with this event."
