Michelin’s Tire Centers subsidiary, known as TCi, reports that waste disposal fleets can glean considerable benefits through its Internet-based Track My Tread program.

“We devoted an extensive amount of effort developing the Track My Tread system, because we wanted to optimize the entire tire management process,” says Nate Kirian, TCi’s vice president of commercial sales and marketing. “We believe Track My Tread will be a game-changer in the waste industry when it comes to customers’ tire management.”

The proprietary fleet asset management system is an online tool that allows the customer to see and control tire assets throughout their lifecycle, according to Kirian.

“From purchase to repairs to retreading and even to the scrap pile, the customer has the visibility and control right at their fingertips,” he explains. “This enables the customer to have accurate reporting and a true total cost of ownership throughout the lifecycle of the tire.”
