Toyo has received re-certification for the latest ISO 9001:2008 management system standards, acknowledging the tire maker’s approach to sales, warranty service and end-user technical support.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an international body that sets voluntary standards for quality in “products, services, processes, materials and systems, and for good conformity assessment, managerial and organizational practice.”
The company was first certified under ISO standards in 1997. The ISO 9001:2008 re-certification “affirms Toyo Tires’ dedication to meeting the international standard for customer satisfaction as well as the standard for continual organizational improvement,” says Yasushi Takagi, Toyo’s president and CEO.
He goes on to explain how the firm “strives to meet the strictest standards for delivering both product quality as well as the utmost in customer support.”
