More than 300 independent tire dealers are taking part in the Toyo Tires Memorial Day Sale-A-Bration. The nationwide promotion coincides with one of the busiest tire-selling periods of the year as people begin thinking about summer road trips and the condition of their tires.
The participating dealers receive a Sale-A-Bration-branded Promo-in-a-Box package, a ready-to-use, turnkey promotional kit that includes all of the marketing tools needed to host a high-profile sales event, according to Steve Hutchinson, vice-president of marketing. Items include a large banner, vertical flags, giant exterior balloons, vinyl posters, additional banners, stack covers and pennants. Each event kit is accompanied by planning tools such as a promotional guide, calendar and checklist.
“This promotion, with the Promo-In-A-Box concept, gives our dealers the tools they need to create an event, generate interest, drive traffic and ultimately sell more tires,” says Hutchinson.
A number of retailers are enhancing the promotion with weekend events including free food, prize giveaways, appearances by local celebrities and on-site radio remotes with local broadcasters, he adds.
To help dealers promote this event in their local market, Toyo has created Sale-A-Bration-branded advertising templates and radio scripts available at ToyoADS.com. “This online tool makes it easy for authorized dealers to create unique newspaper ads, flyers and direct mail pieces,” Hutchinson points out, noting how the company’s Proxes Summer Tour last year amounted to a “highly successful” campaign endeavor.
For this year, retailers can also download a new commercial entitled, People Who Know, in a 25-second version, which leaves room for a local dealer tag.
