KellyAnn Steinberger and a team of women off-roaders took first place in the 1400 Class during the 3rd annual Power Puff Race for the Cure in Barstow, Calif. Steinberger, wife of Team General Tire driver Scott Steinberger of PCI Racing, competed on General’s Grabber competition tires; she finished more than 30 minutes ahead of the second place team.

The Power Puff Race for the Cure is produced by MORE (Mohave Off-Road Enthusiast) and Royal Purple Synthetic Oils. The event is open to women drivers and co-drivers only. With nearly 200 starters, the race raised more than $100,000 for Cedar Sinai Breast Cancer Research.

“Barstow is a very rough and rocky course,” Steinberger says. “Our truck and the General Tire Grabbers took an amazing amount of punishment, and performed flawlessly.”

This is the second year Steinberger, a mother of four, has competed in this event. She placed third last year. The rest of the team, who also are members of PCI Racing, includes Jodie Chapman, Linda Surguine, Shelly Bursic, Julie Donahue and Kelly Biehl.
