For more than three decades of desert racing, BFGoodrich tires have dominated events while bringing home more class wins and overall trophies than any other tire manufacturer, according to the company. And now the company’s dedication to its desert heritage is being showcased in a new off-road racing video game appropriately entitled, BAJA: Edge of Control.
Players build the ultimate off-road machine, aspiring to conquer towering mountains while racing along steep cliffs. Each ride featured in the game will be equipped with Goodrich tires, and players will have the opportunity to race more than 160 sponsored vehicles, including Trophy Trucks and off-road buggies.
Throughout the game, players attack vast unforgiving environments, thick mud and deep canyons – stopping when necessary at several Goodrich-labeled pit areas to upgrade their machines with a full array of hundreds of authentic parts that affect each vehicle’s performance amid the relentless cyber-desert.
“The BAJA: Edge of Control racing game pushes the envelope of gaming realism and detail to a whole new level, and we are thrilled to be involved,” Jupena explains. The company’s “lineage in desert racing is unparalleled, and we appreciate what THQ has done to create such a realistic off-road gaming experience while sharing our passion for off-road racing with everyone,” he adds.
