CIC meeting to showcase education

July 7, 2011 — The Collision Industry Conference (CIC) meeting planned for July 20 and 21 in Salt Lake City will focus on industry education, organizers said Thursday.

The meeting will feature a panel discussion called “Meeting the Future Training Needs of our Collective Industry, Buyers and Sellers,” which will begin with a video by Scott Biggs of Assured Performance on changes to vehicle design and technologies being put into modern vehicles.

After the video, a panel of representatives from manufacturers, training organizations and paint and equipment providers will discuss current education programs and initiatives to fill future needs. Meeting attendees will be able to participate in the discussion.

“Tomorrow is here, now; our July conference is centered on the increased need for our industry to have current, thorough repair education and information readily available to the technicians," said CIC Chairman Michael Quinn, co-founder of 911 Collision Centers.
