Auto Collision Specialists Becomes First Mercedes-Benz Elite Certified Shop

Dec. 23, 2013

Dec. 23, 2013—Auto Collision Specialists LLC recently became the only shop in the Baltimore area to achieve certification through the Mercedes-Benz Tier 2/Elite Certified Collision Program.

Only a select group of shops in the U.S. have been granted the certification for aluminum structural repair.

To become a member of the elite group, collision repair facilities undergo a rigorous audit. They must have approved repair equipment, and staff with the right technical training and experience to properly work with aluminum, such as advanced Gas-Metal Arc welding skills.

Auto Collision Specialists also made the cut because it uses genuine Mercedes-Benz replacement parts, it is equipped with an approved dedicated fixture bench, and the shop’s technicians are certified by Automotive Service Excellence, I-CAR, and Mercedes-Benz.
