July 30, 2010—The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation received its second consecutive $150,000 donation from Nissan North America, which will help provide scholarships and internships for UTI students.
Thirty selected students will receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their work toward becoming an Infiniti or Nissan technician, according to a press release_notes. Students will also attend UTI’s nine-week Nissan Automotive Technical Training (NATT) program and work as an intern at an Infiniti or Nissan dealership.
“The NATT program provides our dealership with technician specialists who are experts with the Nissan and Infiniti vehicles," said Stefan Miller, service manager for Busam Nissan in Cincinnati. "From Day One this specialized repair training gives new technicians a jump start helping customers with the service they expect and deserve."
