April 23, 2013—Caliber Collision Centers has joined the 3M Hire Our Heroes campaign to help returning veterans find work in the collision repair industry.
CARSTAR recently announced it will partner with the Education Foundation to support the Hire Our Heroes Campaign.
Each of Caliber’s company-owned locations will be participating with the 3M program to fund collision repair education grants and scholarships through the Collision Repair Education Foundation and Operation Comfort.
“Caliber’s 125 centers across the southwest are proud to be participating in 3M’s Hire Our Heroes program,” said Steve Grimshaw, CEO of Caliber Collision Centers. “Caliber Collision is actively involved with veteran support organizations either directly or through our Recycled Rides program. 3M’s outstanding Hire Our Heroes program further extends our support for veterans as they continue to return to a nation grateful for their outstanding service.”
The campaign will also raise funds to purchase, renovate and equip a 30,000-square-foot training facility in San Antonio that will serve as the permanent home for Operation Comfort’s AutoMotivation program, which provides occupational and rehabilitative therapies for wounded service members.
