3M donates masking tape to collision repair schools

Dec. 16, 2010—3M has donated $140,000 worth of masking tape to 260 collision repair schools through the Collision Repair Education Foundation, according to a foundation press release_notes.

The supplies donated were more than 3,000 rolls of ¾-inch masking tape and 7,000 rolls of 3-inch masking tape.

“This donation is just one of many from 3M that have been made to the Collision Repair Education Foundation, which have been in turn provided to collision school programs,” said Scott Kruger, Collision Repair Education Foundation executive director. “Over the past two years, 3M has provided more than $1.5 million in product donations to the Foundation and instructors have been overwhelmed with gratitude as these types of gifts assist in their efforts to instruct the future professionals of our industry.”
