Arizona shop named I-CAR Gold Class for 20 straight years

March 18, 2011

March 18, 2011 — Eric’s Auto Center CARSTAR-South in Tucson, Ariz., was recently recognized as an I-CAR Gold Class shop for its 20th consecutive year.

The designation is among the highest recognitions for training available to collision repair facilities, CARSTAR said in a news release_notes about the achievement. Aside from meeting training requirements, Gold Class shops also need to provide customers with efficient, safe and high-quality services.

“The I-CAR Gold Class certification is an honor for us and shows how important it is to keep up with training and remain relevant in the industry,” said shop owner Eric Grossman. “It shows that longevity means something. We have talked to some people around the country who have let the classification go a time or two in those years because they felt it wasn’t relevant or important. You know when you look back, and 20 years is quite a length of time to be a part of something. I think it’s a pretty important feat.”

Grossman founded his shop in 1977. It was the third in the nation to be I-CAR Gold certified.
