Feb. 27, 2014

Feb. 27, 2014—The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) is now accepting applications for the 2014 Emil Stanley Merit Award.

The Emil Stanley Merit Award is an annual scholarship awarded to individuals who work in shops that are members of the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) Collision Division, and who have a desire to improve their business skills through management education, the AMI said.

The 2014 award recipient will receive $1,000 toward expenses to attend the 2014 NACE Expo, which will take place July 31–Aug. 2 in Detroit.

To be eligible for the award, the AMI said applicants must work in the collision repair industry, demonstrate an interest in self-improvement through management education, own or work for an ASA-member business that is in good standing with the organization, and receive a recommendation from their employer.

The Emil Stanley Merit Award applications are due June 20. Visit amionline.org to request an application. The AMI said the recipient will be notified by June 30.
