AMI, ASA Announce Recipient of Emil Stanley Merit Award

July 10, 2015—Together, The Automotive Management Institute (AMI) and the Automotive Service Association (ASA) announced on Thursday that Preston Osborn, service manager for Seyfer Automotive in Wheat Ridge, Colo., as this year’s recipient of the Emil Stanley Merit Award.

Osborn has worked in the collision repair industry for over five years. He holds several ASE certifications and recently completed the requirements to earn the shop’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation.

As the recipient, Osborn will receive $1,000 to be applied toward expenses to attend educational sessions and view the latest repair and technologies and equipment during the 2015 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference, held July 21-25 in Detroit.

“I am honored to be selected as the recipient of this scholarship,” said Osborn. “It provides me with the opportunity to attend education and training to help me stay on the cutting-edge of the automotive industry.”

The Emil Stanley Award is made possible by a grant from ASA to AMI’s resource development program, EXCEL.
