Education Foundation Issues Call for Safety with Fall Promotion

Sept. 2, 2014

Sept. 2, 2014—The Collision Repair Education Foundation is offering industry members the opportunity to sponsor safety kits for schools and students this fall.

The kits, which run at $50 per pack, provide a high school or college student with a technician shirt, work pants, safety glasses, ear plugs and a disposable dust mask. Companies sponsoring 100 or more safety kits will have their logo screen-printed on the back of the shirts.

The goal of the campaign is to “promote the importance of professionalism to high school and college students and ensure that students stay safe this school semester,” an Education Foundation release said.

“It’s never too early to start communicating to collision students that dressing and acting professional in a workplace environment is important for a successful career,” Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode said. “Future employers and customers want to see this type of look and engaging the students now will hopefully instill this mindset in the students. These collision student safety kits will help bring a new level professionalism and improve the image of the school’s collision program.”

Industry members interested in sponsoring the safety kits can contact the foundation at [email protected] or 847-463-5244.
