DuPont to launch new solvent-borne binder package

Jan. 10, 2012

Jan. 10, 2012—DuPont Refinish will launch two new products in March, ChromaPremier 62155 and 62165, a binder package designed to improve the coverage of traditionally poor hiding solvent-borne basecoat colors, according to a press release issued by the company Monday.

DuPont said its new hiding binder package can be used with both ChromaPremier and ChromaBase basecoats.

DuPont has reformulated hundreds of the worst hiding OEM colors with an option to use the new binder package, according to the company. DuPont ColorNet, a color retrieval software, automatically flags poor hiding colors and provides the option to select the new hiding formula.

“These new binders reinforce our commitment to our valued customers who choose to use National Rule products,” said Harry Christman, brand manager for DuPont Refinish.
