Oct. 22, 2012—P.B.E. Jobbers Warehouse Inc. has donated $65,000 worth of paint products to three collision repair schools through the Collision Repair Education Foundation.
The three schools awarded with the product donations include Freedom High School in Freedom, Wis., Kishwaukee College in Malta, Ill., and Thornton Fractional Center for Science and Technology in Calumet City, Ill. Each of the three schools were applicants for the Education Foundation’s 2011 Ultimate Education Makeover grant.
The Education Foundation said the product donations will allow the schools’ collision repair students to practice vehicle repairs with current materials amidst shrinking school budgets.
“There are many times that I would like to have my students spend more time practicing a task before we have them do it on a live vehicle. However, the budget doesn't always allow the student to do that,” said Greg Brink, collision instructor at Kishwaukee College. “With this donation, I will be able to have my students spray their practice front ends many times so they can better develop their painting skills. It will help the future of this industry.”
“We’re very happy to be able to contribute to the future of our industry with this donation. Hearing back from the schools about how much it was appreciated and how much it will help their programs made our donation even more worthwhile,” said Paul Monroe, president of P.B.E. Jobbers Warehouse based in Madison, Wis. “We will continue to support the Collision Repair Education Foundation and help to educate more students to become a part of our industry.”
