Minneapolis to host AkzoNobel Sikkens Acoat selected conference

July 28, 2011 — AkzoNobel Sikkens Acoat selected Performance Group's 18th Annual Summer Conference will take place Aug. 17-19 at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center in Minneapolis.

Conference goers comprise of leaders in the collision repair industry from across North America.

Conference classes include:

• Lead or Get Out of the Way- This program will be lead by G.B. Outlaw of G.B. Outlaw and Associates, noted for enabling effectiveness in organizational change management.

• So, You Have a Facebook Page….Now What? – Lead by Helen Todd, founder of Socially Squared, a leading communication firm that specializes in social media. Participants will learn to use and apply proven Facebook marketing strategies and techniques to grow a fan base and overall business with a meaningful Facebook presence.

• 2011 Occupational Safety and Health Issues in the Collision Repair Industry- Will provide participants clear direction about roles and responsibilities when it comes to occupational safety in the workplace. This program will be lead by Michael Rumley with AkzoNobel’s Health Safety & Environment organization. 

Those attending the conference will also have the opportunity to tour the 3M Innovation Center and Lab which, according to a press release_notes, has more than 6,500 scientists and engineers in the research and development community.

Conference keynote speaker will be Matthew Moore, vice-president of the Highway Loss Data Institute. Moore will present “How Advances in Technology, Safety and the Disposable Car Affect Vehicle Reparability.” 

The event will also hold a variety of classes designed for AzkoNobel distributors and are intended to celebrate business and personal growth achievements over the last year.
