Norton, Intertape Polymer Group form partnership

June 27, 2012—Norton has announced a partnership with Intertape Polymer Group, resulting in the launch of a new line of masking tapes.

Norton, a brand of Saint-Gobain, manufactures refinishing products. The partnership between the companies allows them to merge their expertise and serve their customers in new ways.

The new line of tapes is resistant to stains and transfers, and is resistant to UV for up to three days. The tapes are also compatible with solvent and waterborne paints.

“By combining our multi-disciplinary manufacturing expertise, we are excited to introduce a masking tape solution for the automotive aftermarket with proven performance,” said Monty Seawright, national sales manager for IPG.

“Our new line of clean removal tapes enhances our position as a supplier of high quality products with a full breadth of line that enables our customers to optimize performance and productivity while minimizing costs,” said Joseph Chrys, product and market manager of automotive aftermarket for Norton.
