Oct. 29, 2010

October 28, 2010—Valspar Corp. announced on Thursday the expansion of their low-VOC solvent-based paint products.

The new products meet current U.S. standards for low-VOCs, according to a Valspar press release_notes. The new paint system features the Clean Air formulation, which allows for shops to switch to a solvent-based option with an improved environmental aspect without needing new equipment.

The application, time and coating coverage for the paint is the same as traditional solvent-based paints.

"Meeting new air quality standards is a key requirement for many leading body shops," said Jeff Potter, marketing director of Valspar Automotive Refinish. "We are pleased to introduce a full line of solvent-based low-VOC components. Our system allows body shops to meet air quality standards while delivering high quality performance."
