Oct. 26, 2012—VeriFacts Automotive, a provider of technical training, coaching and quality assessment for the collision repair industry, has appointed Douglas Irish as senior vice president of operations.

VeriFacts said Irish will be responsible for day-to-day operations, product planning and development, and expanding the company into new markets. Irish’s appointment is effective immediately.

"I am excited to join VeriFacts Automotive, a company known for innovation and exposing excellence in collision repair,” Irish said. “VeriFacts is recognized as uniquely qualified to provide independent, third-party verification of a shop's overall ability to consistently deliver high quality collision repairs, and has a roadmap of high value next generation solutions that position the company for future growth and success.”

Irish joins VeriFacts after 20 years working for MetLife in several technical and administrative positions. Irish most recently served MetLife as claim technical development administrator.

During his time with MetLife, VeriFacts said Irish focused on process improvement, vendor relations, and product testing and implementation. He also managed material damage teams, relationships with multi-shop and consolidator networks, and claim process product integration for the company’s IT department.

"Douglas Irish is a technically sound individual with more than 20 years experience and a proven track record of success managing process improvement, product implementation, direct repair networks and training and technical development programs,” said Farzam Afshar, co-founder and CEO of VeriFacts. "Throughout his career, Irish has worked with cross-functional teams and driven customer satisfaction, revenue growth and superior financial performance by improving the customer experience, cycle time, quality and efficiency."
