NSF Certifies More Than 900 TYC Lamps

July 17, 2013

July 17, 2013—NSF International has certified more than 900 TYC Brother Industrial Company Ltd. lamps that can be used in 3,800 vehicle applications.

This set of certifications, approved by the NSF Automotive Collision Replacement Parts Certification Program, represents a 30 percent increase in the number of certified parts available in the market.

NSF-certified lamps are tested to meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard to reduce traffic accidents by providing adequate illumination of the roadway. The certification process includes testing TYC head, tail, fog, corner, reverse and park lamps, as well as reflectors. NSF also performed facility audits to make sure that these lamps meet rigid quality, safety and performance standards. Most of the products are new to the market.

TYC will undergo random quarterly audits to maintain certification.
