Aug. 7, 2012—Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes announced it is now working with paint and materials calculator PMCLogic.
Sherwin-Williams’ internet-based mixing system, Formula Express, works directly with PMCLogic now, according to a news release_notes. PMCLogic’s software enables collision repairers to track and invoice paint and materials costs.
“There are pretty much only two ways in the collision repair business to increase profits; either reduce costs or increase sales,” said Troy Neuerburg, manager of marketing business services at Sherwin-Williams. “A paint material calculator like the PMCLogic program is the perfect way for both repairers and insurers to quickly come to an agreement on fair and reasonable reimbursement for paint and materials on almost any specific vehicle repair.”
Eric Meyer, owner of Lynbrook Collision Center in Waite Park, Minn., said body shops typically have been responsible for price differences between the estimate and the final cost. But with PMCLogic, shops have a solution to track costs and accurately invoice repairs.
“This customized invoice is then given to the insurance adjuster as proof of audited materials,” said Meyer, whose shop has been the beta site for PMCLogic. “The adjuster can then provide payment to body shops in line to actual costs, instead of inaccurate estimations.”
