Education Foundation appoints executive director

July 13, 2012

July 13, 2012—The Collision Repair Education Foundation named Clark Plucinski as its new executive director.

The Education Foundation said Plucinski’s appointment was approved by its board of trustees June 25, and will take effect July 30.

Plucinski has more than 40 years of collision industry experience, the Education Foundation said. He started as a collision repair technician in 1970 before becoming co-owner and president of BCP Auto Body Inc. in Washington, D.C. through 1996. Since then, Plucinski served as executive vice president of sales and marketing for True2Form, a 43-shop collision repair operation with locations in four U.S. states.

The Education Foundation said Plucinski has held positions on the board of directors for several organizations, including I-CAR, Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA), Automotive Service Association (ASA) Collision Division Committee and the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association.

Plucinski has also received multiple industry awards, the Education Foundation said, such as the I-CAR Founder’s Award, the ASA Special Achievement Award and election into “The Hall of Eagles.”

“We are pleased to have someone of this caliber lead the Collision Repair Education Foundation going forward,” said Chris Northup, chairman of the Education Foundation’s board of trustees. “Given Clark’s history with the Education Foundation, and his years of commitment of bringing high quality prepared technicians to our industry, Clark is a perfect fit for our organization to continue to grow and prosper in providing dollars and products to those who provide our future technicians and leaders.”
