Jan. 23, 2012—Organizers of Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) are looking for industry speakers, professional speakers and subject matter experts to participate as presenters during the 2012 event.
The 2012 ASRW event, which is comprised of the NACE and CARS expos, is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
ASRW organizers said presentations will be selected to fit the event’s management, technical or women’s professional development tracks. Presentations are available in either 90-minute or three-hour formats. Presenters must be available to speak on any day of the conference.
Presentation proposals must be submitted online by Feb. 10. The ASRW Conference Planning Committee will review all proposals on originality, past speaker performance, timeliness of topic, practical application of concepts or information, and relevance to the collision repair and automotive service industries, according to ASRW organizers.
“The comprehensive training and education we are able to provide each year at ASRW is contingent upon the experts and industry leaders who are willing to lead a session, and we’re always proud of the caliber and quality of education we’re able to offer to the industry each year,” said Bill Haas, vice president of education and training for the Automotive Service Association (ASA), which sponsors ASRW. “ASRW has a long-standing history of meeting the educational needs of the industry, and we look forward to receiving presentation ideas which will shape and guide this year’s program.”
ASRW organizers said all presentations selected for the management and women’s professional development tracks will be submitted to the Automotive Management Institute (AMI) for potential AMI accreditation.
