Jan. 12, 2011 — Curt Nixon, who has served since 2009 as vice president of communication technology company UpdatePromise.com, was recently promoted to president.

In his new role, Nixon plans to continue to develop and expand insurance partnership programs. During his tenure at UpdatePromise.com, Nixon has overseen the launch of several insurer-related programs. He has also contributed to substantial growth of the web-based company, which interfaces with shop management systems to send automated repair updates to customers in the form of text messages.

Nixon is also in charge of MyPromise Rewards, a program that rewards repairers for making good on their promised completion dates.

"We look forward to Curt's ongoing success and outreach in spreading UpdatePromise.com benefits to more insurer networks and multiple automotive service related industries," said David Caulfield, chairman and CEO of UpdatePromise.com.

Nixon is a partner in Flash of Genius Inc., UpdatePromise.com’s parent company, and has worked as a collision repair shop owner during the past two decades. He also has experience in software application development and strategic marketing. UpdatePromise.com is based in Anaheim Hills, Calif.
