Sept. 4, 2013—The Boyd Group Income Fund announced Tuesday that it has acquired Hansen Collision and Glass and its 25 locations througout Michigan and Indiana.
According to a press release_notes, the Boyd Group purchased Hansen Collision and Glass, which generated approximately $38 million in revenue over the past 12 months, for approximately $23.6 million.
Boyd Group president and CEO Brock Bulbuck said in the statement that this is the company’s sixth multi-shop acquisition since 2010 and heightens the total of collision repair locations to 253 spread across 15 U.S. states and five Canadian provinces. The group operates U.S. chains Gerber Collision & Glass and Autocrafters, among others.
“Hansen Collision and Glass has a business model and customer base similar to Boyd's and immediately creates a strong presence in Michigan as well as provides us with additional growth opportunities. This transaction demonstrates our commitment to our stated growth strategy while reinforcing our position as an industry-leader,” Bulbuck said.
