WIN, ASRW to offer women’s professional courses at NACE

Sept. 7, 2010

September 7, 2010—Women’s Industry Network (WIN) has partnered with Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) to offer women’s professional development courses at the International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) 2010 in Las Vegas.

The courses will provide information that cannot be found in other sessions at the convention, and will build relationships between women in the industry, said Kim White, chairwoman of WIN. “We want to reach women new to the industry, as well as encourage others to stay in the industry by building networks that will help their businesses,” said White.

The sessions include strategies for female business owners and secrets to success in the collision repair industry. Women’s professional development track courses include the following:

• Strategic Benefits of Female Business Ownership
• Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk: Best Kept Secrets for Success in the Collision Industry
• 2010: Year of the Woman Panel Discussion
• Successful Networking Strategies
• Developing My Personal Brand

“Women are involved in all aspects of the collision repair industry, and providing education specific to their needs is an important goal of ASRW,” said Bill Haas, vice president of education and training for the Automotive Service Association (ASA). “The WIN organization is the perfect partner for this track, and we’re pleased to partner with them on what we know will be the highest quality information and education.”
