Feb. 14, 2013—Automotive manufacturing company ETCO Inc. has joined the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), a non-profit association that seeks to make automotive manufacturing processes more efficient and collaborative.
The announcement is the latest development in ETCO’s push to increase the quality of OEM and aftermarket parts. The company recently invested in plant enhancements, software upgrades, and qualitative and quantitative reviews in quality and manufacturing groups.
ETCO’s initial involvement with AIAG will be in knowledge sharing and enhanced training to improve best practices. The company hopes to use its extensive background in metal stamping for automotive OEM and aftermarket parts to collaborate on several projects.
“We are proud to join this illustrious organization,” said John Skory, ETCO’s director of quality. “We believe that ETCO can positively contribute and collaborate with other members of AIAG. ETCO’s commitment to quality is evident even more so now that we are a member of AIAG.”
