May 13, 2013—ABRA Auto Body & Glass has acquired Precision Collision Auto Body, which operates 23 collision repair shop locations throughout Washington.

The addition of Precision Collision, which marks ABRA’s entry into the northwest region of the U.S., is the company’s largest acquisition in history.

“This is a game-changing acquisition for us,” said Duane Rouse, president and CEO of ABRA. “We have an extremely strong management team, a scalable integration platform, a fantastic brand, and extensive expertise and experience in the collision repair industry. Acquiring these repair centers is just one more step in ABRA’s ongoing growth strategy to better serve our customers and insurance partners.”

ABRA said 18 of Precision Collision’s repair centers are located in the Seattle metro area, while five additional centers are located in the Washington communities of Burlington, Mount Vernon, Wenatchee, Kennewick and Spokane.

“This is a great cultural fit and a tremendous opportunity for our employees,” said Scott Hensrude, owner and CEO of Precision Collision. “Aligning ourselves with such an established, well-respected company that shares the same values is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Greg Wright, president of Precision Collision, will join ABRA in a new leadership role to help manage operations and assist in the company’s growth in the northwest region. Precision Collision’s three district managers will also join ABRA’s team of more than 2,500 employees.

“ABRA shares our culture of ethics, integrity and teamwork. We’re excited to build a strong partnership to deliver top-notch service and quality to customers in Seattle and throughout Washington,” Wright said.

ABRA has opened 37 new collision repair centers in 2013. The company now operates a total of 172 corporate and franchise repair locations throughout 17 U.S. states.
