June 26, 2012

June 26, 2012—Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes has introduced a new waterborne refinish system.

The AWX Performance Plus Waterborne Refinish System uses a proprietary waterborne resin that reaches 3.5 VOC compliance in all regulated areas, according to a news release_notes.

Among the system’s benefits are its color match, blending and application abilities. It does well with high or low humidity, and it features inventory-friendly packaging and labeling to increase efficiency, Sherwin-Williams said.

“Sherwin-Williams is constantly making strides to improve product quality,” said Louisa Meijer, the company’s global product manager for vehicle refinish. “The recent AWX Performance Plus formula toner updates now provide better sprayability, appearance, and performance. As a result, our new product lays flat and smooth, providing an excellent final finish.”
