Summit Software and Mobile Solutions looks to grow after record year

Jan. 21, 2011 — Summit Software and Mobile Solutions, a Poway, Calif.-based company that serves the collision repair industry, on Jan. 20 announced record revenues for 2010 and laid out plans for this year.

The company, which designs, develops and implements software and mobile applications for marketing, scheduling, sales, production and numerous other areas of business, reported that revenues and profits exceeded every year for the past decade. The year ended with increases of more than 20 percent in revenues and new customers.

“As good as 2010 was, I want our customers, employees, distributors, partners, and the entire collision repair industry to know 2011 looks to be even brighter,” said Frank Terlep, the company’s CEO. “It will be better because we are developing and plan to launch several new products, technologies and services to help collision repairers capture more cars, more customers, more revenues and more profits which we believe will drive our company’s revenues and profits.”

Those plans include:

• A new MSO management platform that will allow MSO’s to control, own and customize all of their data;
• New interfaces with multiple accounting systems QuickBooks, BusinessWorks, Peachtree and others;
• New calendar and scheduling technologies designed to improve communications, task management, estimate and repair order appointments and more;
• Participating in the International Collision Repair Conference in May;
• Customized promotions that can be sent via e-mail, text, a website, or social media sites;
• A website review program that allows clients to select and post customer reviews on websites and social media networks;
• The launch of a digital marketing agency for repairers that will allow the company to perform some or all of a shop’s social media, e-mail and other marketing strategies;
• The creation of an Industry Advisory Board to provide more insight into the industry;
• Online shop referral services;
• Software integration with smart phones;
• Wireless image, PDF and video integration;
• Data sharing between companies;
• Consulting and implementation services for lean administration processes.

Terlep said he expects 2011 to be a defining year for his company.

“This should be enough to assure our customers and the entire industry that we plan on being an industry technology force for many years to come,” he said.
