3M Body Protection System Wins Best New Product

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2013—3M took the top honor in the Collision Repair and Refinish category of the New Product Showcase Awards on Tuesday at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

Announced during an awards breakfast at the Las Vegas Convention Center, 3M won for its Body Protection System—a series of products that helps repairers spray low-viscosity textured finishes with fine, medium, coarse and splattered patterns.

The system includes the 3M Accuspray HGP Spray Gun with pressurized inlet and 3M PPS Type H/O Mini Pressure Cup, the 3M Protector Pouch and 3M Paintable Undercoating Pouch.

Creative Autobody Solutions’ ABS plastic spray out cards earned a runner-up award, as did Shelwes Tools & Body for its ShelWes Automatic Contour Sander.
