SEMA survey seeks info on industry challenges

Feb. 28, 2011

Feb. 28, 2011 — Organizers of the 2011 SEMA Show recently sent a survey on industry challenges to specialty equipment businesses.

The organization has solicited feedback from the industry for the past two years, according to an e-mail sent from Thomas Myroniak, vice president of marketing and member services for SEMA. The organization uses the data for research and to help create education programs and publications.

The bulk of the brief survey asks participants to rate a variety of industry challenges, such as legislative and regulatory issues, finding qualified employees, keeping up with vehicle technology, and identifying new markets and opportunities. The survey also asks if there are any other challenges facing the industry, as well as what help SEMA could provide the industry.

“SEMA will be presenting a tremendous amount of education geared toward our members interested in learning more about the ways in which business technology and online marketing are impacting specialty equipment companies,” the survey said. “In order to make sure that we cater to the needs of the membership, we need your feedback on this short, 5-8 minute survey.”

Survey answers are confidential. Click here to view the survey.

SEMA will be held Nov. 1-4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
