Nov. 9, 2010

Nov. 9, 2010–Evercoat has donated more than 600 cartridges of its 2K flexible foam to 48 collision repair colleges and high schools through I-CAR’s Collision Repair Education Foundation.

The value of the donated supplies is about $14,000, according to a Collision Repair Education Foundation press release_notes. The foundation recognizes Evercoat as part of its Industry Leadership Circle because of this donation. The foam is used to prevent vibrations and to dampen sound in panels, gas tank filler areas, under hoods, roof beams and inside door skins.

“I would like to thank Evercoat for this product donation as it helps to not only ease collision program budgets but also provides their students with the opportunity to work with current industry products,” said Scott Kruger, executive director of the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

“On behalf of the auto collision department of ATEC, I want to say thanks to Evercoat for the donation of the 2K flexible foam,” said David Weaver, instructor at the Applied Technology Education Campus in Camden, S.C. “The product came in very handy in a repair we are making on a vehicle.”
