Mitchell, CoreLogic partner to simplify total loss claims process

Sept. 15, 2011

Sept. 15, 2011—Mitchell International Inc. on Thursday announced it partnered with CoreLogic to streamline the total loss claims process.

The partnership allows users of Mitchell’s WorkCenter, an insurance claims processing software, to receive a Vehicle License Fee (VLF) report when a total loss valuation is generated.

The VLF report provides information about vehicle registration, how much of a refund exists and the amount to be disbursed to the claimant. The VLF can be generated with a total loss valuation in California where there is a refund available for the unused portion of a year's license fee, according to Mitchell.

"We're proud to provide VLF reports as an enhancement to our total loss valuation solution," said Jesse Herrera, senior vice president of product and customer experience for Mitchell. "Through this integration, we have further simplified total loss claims handling by automating the VLF refund process. This benefits our WorkCenter users by eliminating manual data process steps while ensuring accurate claims settlements."

"As a company that has long enjoyed providing the most accurate and reliable information to help mitigate risk, we understand the claims industry's unique needs and we're pleased to join forces with Mitchell,” said John Cameron, vice president of sales for American Driving Records by CoreLogic, “Together, we will improve total loss claims processing outcomes for auto insurance carriers through an integrated claims handling process that is more efficient, accurate and complete, reducing Loss Adjustment Expense (LAE) and minimizing fraud opportunities."

CoreLogic, based in Santa Ana, Calif., is a provider of consumer, financial and property information, analytics and services to businesses and government. The company combines public, contributory and proprietary data to develop predictive decision analytics.
