March 20, 2013—New York-based H&V Collision Centers on Wednesday announced that its Troy, N.Y. location has been certified as Honda ProFirst collision repair facilities.

The three other H& locations, which include shops in the New York communities of Troy, Colonie, Saratoga and Queensbury, are expected to be certified in the near future.

The Honda ProFirst program is meant to promote complete and safe repairs of Honda and Acura vehicles, and to provide support to shops that have demonstrated a commitment to high levels of customer satisfaction.

There are a few requirements that shops must fulfill in order to qualify for the ProFirst program. Shops must conduct a certain minimum number of transactions using OEConnection’s CollisionLink software, they must be designated as I-CAR Gold Class Professionals businesses and have at least one technician who has completed I-CAR’s Collision Repair for Honda and Acura Vehicles course.

“H&V Collision Centers is proud to have our Troy location as Honda ProFirst locations, and looks forward to all H&V locations being certified with ProFirst,” said Vartan Jerian Jr. of H&V Collision Centers. “Qualifying as a Honda ProFirst location means H&V in Troy is able to offer owners of Honda vehicles a high level of service and care, meeting the specifications of the manufacturer.”

Shops that participate with the ProFirst program receive a plaque, free access to Honda and Acura parts catalogs and bulletins, access to service and repair information, and placement on the company’s store-locator tool on its consumer website—collision.honda.com.
