Feb. 9, 2012—Companies exhibiting in Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW) 2012 now have access to several complimentary export-related services and programs through the U.S. Commercial Service’s International Buyer Program (IBP), organizers of ASRW announced Wednesday.

The IBP is a program that helps international buyers find U.S. suppliers by identifying prominent trade exhibitions that are determined to be good venues for developing new business relationships, according to ASRW organizers. The U.S. Commercial Service staff, in conjunction with the ASRW team, is working to connect companies exhibiting at ASRW 2012 with international buyers through leads, trade counseling and market research.

ASRW organizers said the IBP will also help recruit foreign buyers, sales representatives and business partners to ASRW 2012, which will provide exhibitors with opportunities to expand their businesses globally.

ASRW 2012 will also feature an International Trade Center where Commerce Department staff will facilitate meetings between attendees and exhibitors. All services, personnel and resources provided through the IBP are complimentary to all ASRW participants, according to event organizers.

"We’re thrilled not only to have received the prestigious honor of the IBP this year, but also about the vast opportunities it brings for the companies who exhibit in ASRW,” said Lindsay Roberts, show director of ASRW. "Being able to connect exhibitors with the caliber and quantity of resources available through the IBP—all complimentary to the exhibitor—aligns well with our commitment to provide all exhibiting companies with a profitable, successful experience at ASRW."

U.S. firms exhibiting at ASRW 2012 that are interested in exporting products and services internationally should contact Darrin Cayton, sales coordinator for ASRW organizer Hanley Wood Exhibitions, for more information at [email protected].

ASRW 2012, which is comprised of the NACE and CARS events, is scheduled for Oct. 10-13 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. For more information, visit ASRWevents.com.
