Aug. 27, 2014—PPG Automotive Refinish partnered with the New Hampshire chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) for the organization’s annual Track Walk fundraiser, PPG announced Tuesday.
As the sole sponsor of the walk, which took place during a recent NASCAR weekend at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, PPG helped the organization raise nearly $13,000.
“PPG’s participation is huge for us,” said Cheryl LaPrade, executive director of the New Hampshire chapter of the SCC. “We work as a team, and PPG’s support has been instrumental in getting us to where we are today. We are able to help children in need and that could not have happened without our partnership with PPG. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that means to us.”
A few popular faces participated in the event, including NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Greg Biffle, former Fox Sports NASCAR reporter Dick Berggen and entertainment personality Meghan Lamontagne.
Charlotte, N.C.–based SCC provides funding for over 400 of nonprofit organizations across the United States every year, which meet the direct educational, medical, social and financial needs of children. Visit the organization’s website for more information about future events.
