Agu. 25, 2016—The Collision Repair Education Foundation announced Wednesday that it is seeking help from the industry to provide support for industry instructors in a “back to school” fashion by providing donated collision tools, equipment, supplies, products, scrap parts and other related items.

“MCR Safety is proud to be able to assist with these donations. I encourage others to do the same with overstocked inventory,” Glen Herald, MCR Safety COO, said.

MCR Safety kicked off the support of the Ed. Foundation by donating 50,000 pairs of safety glasses and goggles to the foundation that will be distributed to schools across the country.

“Industry companies who have items that can be donated to collision school programs are asked to contact the Education Foundation and together as an industry we can show these students that their technical education is greatly valued,” Brandon Eckenrode, Ed. Foundation director of development, said. “Instructors have very limited budgets and every bit of assistance helps them provide the best technical education possible. Also, we cannot thank MCR Safety enough for their continued support of donated safety glasses as they easily have donated over 100,000 pairs within the past several years and it's always touching when you receive phone calls from instructors who are emotional over the fact these types of donations mean the world to them due to their budgetary restraints.”
