DETROIT, July 31, 2014—LORD Corporation, maker of Fusor Aftermarket Repair Adhesives, has entered into a distribution agreement with Dow Automotive Systems, representatives from both companies announced at a Thursday press conference from the show floor at the 2014 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference at the Cobo Center in Detroit.

The companies have combined efforts to produce the new Fusor 2098 Crash Durable Structural Adhesive, launched this week at NACE/CARS. The product is designed to replace welds and mechanical fasteners, helping to reduce fatigue and failure.

Terry Radcliff, director for Dow Automotive Systems; Charmaine Riggins, director of marketing and strategy for LORD’s automotive aftermarket division; and LORD automotive aftermarket manager Julie Miller explained how the partnership will help to address the industry need for aluminum and steel vehicles.
