June 26, 2015

June 26, 2015—Axalta Coating Systems will support 12 custom car shows around the country this year, including the Goodguys 24th Heartland Nationals in Des Moines, Iowa, July 3-5.

Axalta will be at the Des Moines State Fairgrounds with a 1932 Ford Coupe, built by Dave Lane for Phil Becker and painted with Axalta paint.

The Goodguys’ event features more than 4,000 1972 and earlier hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trucks and classic cars.

Axalta representatives will be on hand to offer show attendees examples of automotive art created with its paint including its global refinish brands: Cromax, Standox and Spies Hecker, as well as Axalta’s line of custom colors, Hot Hues.

Axalta will also be promoting its recently announced 2015 Paint Outside the Can contest.  The contest is an invitation to unleash creativity using any Axalta-branded coating system to paint and decorate an unused, standard one-gallon paint can. Submissions will be displayed on social media channels.

The contest closes Sept. 15. To learn more about the contest, visit its website.
