Brian Farrington, shareholder and section head of Cowles & Thompson Employment Law Practice Group in Dallas, discussed the new regulation and fielded questions during the webinar. Darrell Amberson, (a FenderBender columnist) and president of operations at LaMettry’s Collision in Minneapolis, discussed the effect of the new regulation on collision repair shops, while Ed Cushman, president of C&H Foreign Auto Repair in Spokane, Wash., discussed the regulation’s effect on mechanical repair shops. 

A question and answer session followed the discussion. Primary concerns included variations in the rule’s implementation from state to state, the effects of commissions on the salary test and the necessity of logging hours.
