D&S Automotive Succeeds with Apprentice Program

June 27, 2016

June 27, 2016—D&S Automotive in Mentor, Ohio, is investing in the future of auto body professionals by providing an apprentice program through its facilities.

D&S recruits apprentices from Auburn Career Center where students who express interest are introduced to the program. They learn everything, from tear down, body work, and framework to refinishing, final reassembly and front-office estimating.

Since the beginning, the program has seen six apprentices. Five of the apprentices have taken jobs at D&S, while one took a job at another local body shop.
