Herb’s Paint and Body Celebrates 60 Years

June 22, 2016

June 22, 2016—Herb’s Paint and Body, a Dallas bodyshop, announced Tuesday that it is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

The business was started in 1956 by Herb Walne when he opened a gas station, followed a few years later by a mechanical shop and car wash, and ultimately a collision repair shop.

Today, the business operates eight repair centers in North Texas and is operated by Walne’s son, Alan, and grandson, Robert.

“For 60 years we have approached our work and service with the philosophy Herb Walne established, ‘Making unpleasant experiences pleasant ones.’ This is now a part of our branding, and something we all continue to embrace,” Alan Walne, Herb’s Paint and Body CEO, said.
